Himatullah is a seasoned professional with over 24 years of extensive experience in research, program evaluation (both quantitative and qualitative), and results-based monitoring and evaluation across multiple sectors in development and humanitarian settings. He has conducted over 100 operational research and evaluations of community-based development programs, encompassing areas such as child rights, social mobilization, education, protection, health and nutrition, emergency response, technical and vocational education, livelihoods, value chains, WASH, food security, and disaster risk reduction. Himatullah is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of HIMAT Consulting (Private) Limited, where he has successfully led a team of national and international consultants in completing over 80+ assignments for UN agencies, donor organizations, international NGOs, government departments, and NGOs. His leadership roles include being a core group member of emergency response teams for IRC, Concern Worldwide, and Save the Children, as well as leading M&E teams and technical working groups for various international alliances and consortia. With advanced skills in program management information systems, cost-benefit analysis, and program value for money, Himatullah is proficient in financial monitoring, forecasting, and the application of M&E guidelines from major international donors. He holds advanced certifications in evaluation and research, including specialized training in emergency preparedness, hostile environment training, and qualitative data analysis using MAXQDA. As an author and co-author of over 100 program evaluations and research reports, Himatullah’s expertise is further endorsed by his memberships in prominent professional associations, such as the American Evaluation Association and the Sustainable International Development & Sustainability group. Since January 1, 2017, under his leadership, HIMAT Consulting has successfully completed 90 assignments for various prestigious clients like European Union, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, and many other national and international clients, solidifying his reputation as a leader in the field of monitoring and evaluation.
