Project Title:

Income Saving Study of the Teaching Program in five Districts of Baluchistan Province (Pishin, Qilla Abdullah, Noshki, Kharan, Chaghi)

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) implemented the TEACH Programme to strengthen income generation, household resilience, and financial well-being among target communities. The programme assessed income patterns, savings behaviour, expenditure trends, and financial coping strategies for participating in households to evaluate how IRC-supported interventions improved economic stability.

The study aimed to generate evidence on livelihood outcomes, identify constraints affecting household income and savings, and document the programme’s contribution to economic resilience. The assessment provided IRC with insights on income utilization, savings practices, consumption patterns, cash-flow management, and the extent to which programme participants experienced improvements in financial security.

HIMAT Consulting carried out the full analysis of income and savings under the TEACH Programme. This included designing the analytical framework, reviewing income and expenditure data, and conducting detailed breakdowns of household earnings, savings trends, and financial allocation patterns. The team synthesized quantitative findings from the TEACH survey, interpreted consumption behaviour, identified economic vulnerabilities, and analysed the impact of programme support on financial resilience.

HIMAT prepared a structured report presenting income levels, expenditure categories, gender-wise savings patterns, and key economic drivers affecting household well-being. The firm also provided evidence-based insights and recommendations to guide IRC in refining livelihood and economic-strengthening components of the programme.
